Group Operators

G.O.s help new people in the group getting started with using the Facility. That is, giving an overview, helping them get signed-up to training, identifying speedtype accounts, finding facility related documentation, etc. G.O.s may train users in routine operation and prepare them for the checkout tests if necessary.

The G.O. is the primary resource for group members if they have NMR questions or need help with the instruments. G.O.s may have a better feel than Facility personnel about the common experiments that group members like to run at the Facility.

Facility personnel rely on G.O.s to disseminate important information (e.g., Facility Notices) to the members of the group.

Check the following document to see who your group's G.O is.
